The art of perfume layering is, by definition; combining 2 or more scents that compliment each other to create an original scent that is as individual as the one wearing it. Whether this is combining 2 perfumes together or a scented body lotion or oil with a perfume over top the possibilities are endless. Perfume layering also enhances the longevity of the fragrances so its a great tip to try if you find fragrances wearing off quickly. 

Fragrance Combinations- what works well together?

Floral, Fresh and Fruity:

If floral, fresh and fruity is your go to then why not mix these notes together to create a unique scent. We love the fresh scent of DKNY Women Eau De Parfum paired with Elie Saab Girl Of Now for a fruity finish. Or why not try Armani Diamonds paired with the sweet strawberry notes of Coach Love. You could even top the mix off with a Hawaiian Tropic Body Mist for those warm summer days.

Spicy, Amber and Musk:

Fresh & Citrus:

How do I incorporate fragrance layering into my day to day routine?

We suggest opting for a day to night fragrance routine, starting with a light fresh scent such as Versace Dylan Purple or if you prefer a more floral scent why not try Jimmy Choo Blossom for a sweet and soft base. You can always go one step further and invest in a good scented body lotion or oil for this step. We really like the Jean Paul Gaultier Divine Body Lotion for a sweet a sultry base. 

Next up we suggest layering a warmer, spicier scent like Armani Si Passione Intense or perhaps Dolce & Gabanna The only One is more up your street. A good tip here is to choose an Eau De Parfum over a Eau De Toilette at this stage as Eau De Parfum fragrances typically last longer on the skin. To ensure the fragrances blend together a good idea is to spray the first fragrance on the skin, let it dry then apply the second. This way the fragrances can blend seamlessly without out-shining each other.
